The steep and steady rise of home prices in 2005 could send the GSE loan limits above the $415,000 barrier when the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight calculates the new figure later this year. It wasn’t long ago, 2002, that the GSEs broke the $300,000 mark for conforming loan sales. And it took a decade to hit that level after crossing the $200,000 barrier in 1992.
