New issuance of structured securities backed by agency MBS increased 15.8 percent during the third quarter of 2005, climbing to the highest level in over a year, according to a new analysis and ranking by Inside MBS & ABS. A total of $82.94 billion of agency-backed REMICs were issued during the most recent three-month period, bringing year-to-date volume for 2005 to $224.03 billion.
