Providers of flood zone determination reports are concerned that the Federal Emergency Management Agency is using old, inaccurate topographic information to produce modern, digitized flood maps. Testifying before the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Housing and Economic Opportunity early this month, the National Flood Determination Association questioned the direction of FEMA’s map modernization program and asked the agency to keep the industry informed of the program’s progress.
