Ameriquest Mortgage Co. has agreed to pay more than $7 million and reimburse Connecticut customers to settle state allegations of loan flipping and excessive finance charges. Connecticut Banking Commissioner John Burke said that the settlement with Ameriquest announced on July 14, also alleged use of unlicensed loan officers to make loans in the state.
