Two rating agencies have issued new criteria for net interest margin securitizations – a segment of the subprime MBS market that has experienced robust growth in recent months. In its criteria issued last week, Dominion Bond Rating Service, a relative newcomer to the U.S. MBS market, said that issuers must warrant that they will waive fees only in cases where doing so would increase recoveries or minimize losses on defaulted loans.
