A top official of the Federal Reserve Board for the first time confirmed what community and consumer advocates have been saying all along – that some minority borrowers more often end up with higher priced subprime loans than their white counterparts. But Fed. Gov. Edward Gramlich, who is retiring soon from the board, stopped short of saying that such disparity in the 2004 Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data reports is more a consequence of discriminatory
