Immigrants are expected to be one of the most important borrower bases for non-prime lenders in the coming years. But underwriting those customers – who often lack traditional credit histories – can be difficult. That could soon change, however, as vendors are developing new credit scores and lenders are finding new ways to document risks in what is seen as a major emerging market.
