A New York-based community watchdog group said it will formally submit mortgage lending data to a number of state attorneys general showing disparate lending practices and high-cost loan originations in their states. The Inner City Press/Fair Finance Watch, whose initial studies of 2004 Home Mortgage Disclosure Act data helped trigger a state probe into lender practices and loan pricing and fees, said it will ask other state AGs to launch similar investigations.
