Federal Housing Finance Board Chairman Ronald Rosenfeld breezed through a lightly attended confirmation hearing this week as lawmakers expressed their confidence that he would bring welcome expertise to the agency. Rosenfeld, the former president of Ginnie Mae, was installed as a recess appointment late last year and fills the vacancy left by former chairman John Korsmo. Judging from the response of the lawmakers who attended the hearing in the Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs
