House Democrats raised serious questions about motives at the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight when they decided to release a previously restricted government report on regulatory activities at the agency. But the Department of Housing and Urban Development chose later to release a more limited version of the same report, claiming that the privacy rights of OFHEO employees needed to be protected.
