The House is gearing up for yet one more hearing on government-sponsored enterprises in 2004, and it doesn’t figure to be a friendly environment for Fannie Mae. The hearing was scheduled days after a preliminary report documenting serious accounting and control problems was released last week by the Office of Federal Housing Enterprise Oversight.
