The campaign to win Californians the strongest financial privacy protections in the country reached a milestone last week as a referendum initiative collected 100,000 signatures from registered voters to qualify a privacy measure for the March 2004 ballot. Separately, a tough anti-spam bill sailed through the state Senate.
