Online lenders are required to provide disclosure to the consumer if information gathered on their web site constitutes "an application" for a mortgage. The disclosures generally include – but are not limited to – Truth in Lending Act disclosures, the "Consumer Handbook on Adjustable Rate Mortgage" and a good faith estimate and special information booklet.
