Some mortgage bankers say Freddie Mac’s waiving of the Loan Prospector loan reassignment fee is putting the government-sponsored enterprise another step closer to the primary market. Some lenders also warn that Freddie Mac’s action would "erode the integrity" of the mortgage transaction and weaken the relationship between the GSE and wholesale lenders.
