Mortgage lenders continue to take a fairly conservative approach to systems investments and generally do not rush in to new technologies that may be widely hyped but lack any kind of track record, according to a leading industry survey. According to the Mortech 2000 study, lenders are focused on automated underwriting and leveraging the Internet, and paying little attention to bleeding edge technologies such as XML and automated valuation models.
