The Department of Housing and Urban Department has raised the maximum loan limits for FHA-insured single-family mortgages to a maximum of $290,319 in the highest-cost markets. Separately, Ginnie Mae revised its mortgage-backed securities pooling to allow larger VA home loans in its MBS pools.
