Subprime mortgage lenders took full advantage of historically low interest rates to start 2003 off at a record pace in new originations, according to a new analysis by Inside B&C Lending, an affiliated newsletter. Overall, an estimated $60 billion in new subprime mortgages were produced during the first three months of this year, a 10.1 percent year-over-year increase. Though that performance left the
