The mortgage banking industry isn’t likely to get very far this year in its ongoing calls for Ginnie Mae to overhaul its historically troubled GNMA II mortgage-backed securities program. In fact, Ginnie Mae went on record last week at the agency’s third annual investor symposium as saying that it has no plans whatsoever to alter the GNMA I and GNMA II programs. The announcement received a warm reception among Wall Street firms that have started
