One of the few mortgage-related pieces of legislation that seemed to have a good chance of passage and enactment in 2001 has been bankruptcy reform. After all, a bipartisan bankruptcy bill easily cleared Congress late last year and would have been enacted had it not been for a veto from President Bill Clinton.
