The battle over the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s controversial federal preemption rules has shifted to the Congress with the introduction of two bills aimed at killing the rules. Mortgage lenders called on lawmakers to oppose resolutions introduced in the House by Rep. Luis Gutierrez, D-IL, and by Sen. John Edwards, D-NC, in the Senate.
