Pushing for a reproposed RESPA reform rule and a national standard for combating predatory lending are among the Mortgage Bankers Association’s top priorities for 2004. In unveiling five key industry issues that will receive most of the group’s attention this year, the MBA reiterated its support for mortgage simplification and its quest for a reproposal of the RESPA rule now under executive review.
