The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency’s recent issuance of regulations designed to protect national banks from state laws and to establish exclusive supervisory authority have state officials up in arms, some even threatening to sue to protect state laws. While the National Association of Attorneys General and the Conference of State Bank Supervisors are contemplating their next move, threats of legal action have been heard from state officials in New York, Connecticut
