Kansas. State regulators have issued a new regulation requiring a licensee that does not close a mortgage loan in its own name to retain documents concerning the transaction. Some of the documents include the application, the good-faith estimate, and the early Truth-in-Lending Act disclosure statement. The licensee also must retain any written agreements with the borrower that describe rates, fees and broker compensation, as well as the settlement statement and paid invoices for closing
