The Federal Reserve Board’s Consumer Advisory Council will meet on June 26 to discuss the following: (a) the renewal of the Fair Credit Reporting Act’s federal preemption provision; (b) the standardized short-form notices that institutions could provide to customers about the institution’s financial privacy policies; (c) lending programs and products to counter predatory lending; and (d) rules for unsolicited debit card issuance. The council will meet at the Fed’s headquarters in Washington, DC.
