Banks can prevent bad customer relations from becoming unfair or deceptive practices by being vigilant and following some common-sense advice from regulators, according to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. With increased competition, lenders are forced to adopt aggressive marketing strategies in which some practices can easily turn into violations, the OCC said.
