Wall Street is urging the Securities and Exchange Commission to move slowly and cautiously before adopting streamlined and codified rules for the ABS – and non-agency MBS – market, asking the agency in particular to re-publish its proposed rules with a longer comment period for a more thorough discussion of the issues.
