Freddie Mac investors pressed management about the company’s $43 million auditing tab for 2003 and questioned the progress of corporate reforms during the government-sponsored enterprise’s annual stockholder meeting this week, its first in two years. Newly installed Chairman and CEO Richard Syron told shareholders that he is committed to improving internal controls. The company is trying to recover from major accounting problems that
