The commercial mortgage securities industry hopes to take advantage of the new federal law on digital signatures by developing standards for paperless mortgage transactions. The Commercial Mortgage Securities Association announced last week that it has begun developing standards for electronic commercial mortgage transactions through a partnership with the Mortgage Bankers Association of America.
