Congressman Richard Baker’s attempts to pin down the Bush administration on where it stands on a variety of GSE issues appear to be bearing some fruit. In response to a recent letter from the Louisiana Republican, Federal Reserve Board Chairman Alan Greenspan wrote last week he was “concerned about the economic distortions created by the implied subsidies generated by the housing-related GSEs.
