Federal Housing Finance Board Chairman John Korsmo is continuing his push to convince the Federal Home Loan Banks to voluntarily register their stock with the Securities and Exchange Commission. And he is getting some help from the Treasury Department. But most of the FHLBanks are continuing to resist SEC registration and are instead advancing a compromise plan that would involve filing SEC-like disclosures with the Finance Board during a three-year trial period.
