Unhappy with the prospect of possibly being regulated by the Securities and Exchange Commission in terms of stock disclosures, a group of Federal Home Loan Banks reportedly has come up with an alternative plan. According to several reports, the plan calls for the FHLBanks to utilize a 1964 amendment to the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 that allows banks to file stock disclosures with their primary regulator while following SEC requirements.
