A sizable percentage of high school seniors regularly use credit cards – at a time when financial literacy programs appear to be making only a slight impact on their understanding of the basics of finance. Those were the somewhat sobering conclusions of a nationwide survey of 4,000 12th graders sponsored by the non-profit JumpStart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy and investment bank Merrill Lynch.
