Mortgage market forecasters and credit analysts are pointing to a number of economic and demographic trends that could favor subprime lenders this year. For the most part, forecasters are optimistic about the prospects for the economy – and the housing market – in 2004. The Mortgage Bankers Association, for instance, said last week that it expects gross domestic product to grow at a 4.7 percent clip this
