Filtering technology, outside compliance help, and rigorous quality controls can help subprime securitizers reduce credit enhancement levels in states that have enacted predatory lending laws, analysts at Fitch ratings claim. And indications are that help is needed: during a conference call last week, rating agency analysts said that even prime mortgage AAA-enhancement levels in some states that have enacted anti-abuse laws have shot up dramatically.
