Fairbanks Capital Corp. has reached a tentative deal with federal regulators that would settle charges of abusive servicing practices. The proposed agreement with the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Housing and Urban Development was revealed in a 10-Q filed last week by mortgage insurer PMI, which owns a majority stake in the Utah-based special servicer.
