In a move that should help kickstart the secondary market, two of the three major bond rating agencies have given a tentative nod to the amendments made to Georgia’s Fair Lending Act. In a statement issued last week, Standard & Poor’s, which led the retreat from Georgia, said it will rate structured transactions with Georgia loans originated after the March 7 effective date of the amendment.
