The Federal Reserve Board’s recent decision to expand the amount of data collected under the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act could make it easier for consumer groups to target lenders, attorneys are warning. “Even though regulators have said repeatedly that HMDA data is not necessarily evidence of discrimination and merely a red flag for inquiry, community groups with vested interests have relied on the data to accuse lenders of
