A trade group representing Wall Street investment banks last week voiced strong opposition to proposed lending standards aimed at curbing predatory lending. The Bond Market Assocation said the plan would open the secondary market up to a myriad of new lawsuits. The BMA’s latest salvo in its campaign to keep securitizers out of the predatory lending fray came in a letter to the comptrollers of New York State and New York City. Both agencies
