The major issuers of securities backed by subprime mortgages used Wall Street conduits to do the majority of their deals during the first half of the year, a new Inside B&C Lending analysis suggests. The analysis, which looked at subprime MBS issuance by SEC shelf registration, underscores a trend that has reshaped the subprime MBS market.
