A successful partnership between an investor and an originator comes down to reliability and consistency, speakers at the Non-QM Forum last week said.

The non-qualified mortgage market is growing in step with the gig economy, according to industry leaders.

In nearly every session at the Non-QM Forum Thursday, panelists made it a point to mention artificial intelligence and the benefits of using the technology in the non-QM space.

Homes in areas with climate risk tend to be overvalued during mortgage refinancing, according to a study from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Center for Real Estate.

The move followed the enactment of House Bill 1516, which exempts passive and government trusts from the licensing requirements.

Changes include a reduction of credit score requirements and an elimination of seasoning requirements for DSCR refinances.

“If you look at the issuance of 2025, I think we are surpassing the biggest year ever in securitization," said A&D's CEO.
