Multifamily Lender Ready Capital Closes on Note Sale
Ready Capital Corp., New York, closed on a $45.0 million offering of senior notes due in 2026. The paper carries a yield of 6.20%.
The publicly traded multifamily originator said it plans to use the proceeds to originate or acquire “additional” mortgage loans and related assets. The debt offering was underwritten by Sandler O’Neill Partners and B. Riley FBR.
A few weeks back, Ready Capital issued $380.0 million of investment grade notes via a private placement. As part of the transaction, the company retained subordinated interests of $51.0 million, bringing the deal size to $431.0 million.
In the third quarter, the nonbank originated $465.4 million of product and acquired an additional $77.9 million of small-balance loans.
