New HUD Study Highlights Overlaps, Opportunities in the Mortgage Market

The overlap between mortgage borrowers served by FHA and those served by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac appears to be relatively small, according to a new study released by the Department of Housing and Urban Development last week. Nevertheless, the analysis suggests there may be some opportunities for both the FHA and the government-sponsored enterprises when it comes to expanding their activities.
