Mortgage Delinquency Rates Edge Higher in 2Q04 As Short-Term Late Payments Climb

Mortgage delinquency rates drifted higher in the second quarter but remained at historically low levels, according to several indicators of loan performance. The Inside Mortgage Finance Large Servicer Delinquency Index rose from 3.21 percent in the first quarter of 2004 to 3.48 percent in the second quarter.
