Three mergers in the mortgage technology area have provided further evidence that the vendor market is fast-consolidating in order for companies to gain resources to stay competitive in anticipation of one-fee closing packages. Last Monday, the gigantic Fidelity National Financial Inc., Jacksonville, FL, announced the acquisition of American Pioneer Title Insurance Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of the PMI Group.
