Worth Noting… The Department of Housing and Urban Development has delayed the effective date of a final rule discontinuing the Section 221(d)(2) Mortgage Insurance Program. The delay was due to President Bush’s order last month to postpone the effective dates of all regulations that have been published in the Federal Register but have not yet taken effect. The final rule’s new effective date is April 20, 2001.
