IL Banking Regulators Pull ‘Emergency’ Disclosure Rule

Predatory Lending Illinois mortgage lenders dodged the proverbial predatory lending bullet earlier this month after state regulators agreed to pull “emergency” anti-predatory lending rules that went into effect in December. The so-called emergency rules would require state-chartered banks to report the status of their conventional loans, whether they are in default or foreclosure, to state banking regulators by Feb. 1.
