Predatory Lending Efforts to curb abusive lending practices are continuing on both the state and municipal fronts even as federal regulators are advancing their own anti-predatory lending initiatives in Washington, DC. Illinois and Massachusetts last month were added to a growing list of states combating predatory lending by either passing new legislation or strengthening existing regulations.
