While there was no shortage last year of hearings on reform of the regulations governing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, lawmakers are quickly moving to revisit the issue with more hearings in early 2004. But despite an expected push to draft GSE legislation as quickly as possible, the outlook for actual passage of a bill this year remains doubtful.
