A Federal court has ruled that the government’s landmark lawsuit against CitiFinancial can proceed, setting the table for a potential court showdown. “Only after the parties have performed discovery can the court fully examine the relationship of the companies and the circumstances surrounding the acquisition and merger,” wrote U.S. District Court Judge Jack Camp, who earlier this month rejected Citi’s request to have a lawsuit
