HomeStreet Looking to Increase Jumbo Activity

HomeStreet Bank, a bit player in the jumbo mortgage-backed security market, wants a bigger role and has recently sought assessments from rating services and is working to expand its jumbo originations. After the November elections, how long will it take for a new Congress and White House to pass GSE reform legislation?

I’m confident a bill will be passed the first year.
